If you look at the registration requirements it states:
"The Solicitation of Contributions Act requires anyone who solicits donations in or from Florida to register with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and to renew annually. This applies to charitable organizations, sponsors, professional solicitors, and professional fundraising consultants. FDACS collects registration fees and has the authority to impose penalties for noncompliance."
I will be bringing this to John Reynolds W4IJJ attention on 3/10/2025
The act also provides a provision for Charitable organizations and sponsors that meet the following requirements are eligible to fill out the Small Charitable Organizations/Sponsors Application [
NOFARS doesn't qualify for this in lieu of this:
- The fundraising activities of the charitable organization or sponsor are carried on by volunteers, members, or officers who are not compensated and no part of the assets or income of the organization or sponsor inures to the benefit of or is paid to any officer or member of the charitable organization or sponsor.

Hopefully the club can get this all sorted out soon and start moving forward and can have a honestly run club in the future.
Money keeps going into and out of "the repeater fund" but the loan never decreases, but the money in the repeater fund will count toward the loan when the loan is paid. Looks like fuzzy math there, like a maintenance fee or interest. For a club that did not want to support a repeater through the clubs general fund it looks like the clubs general fund has paid for a repeater for the past 26 years and presumbally owes Billy Williams $3500 for doing so.
